What Kind of Voice and Audio work have you experience with?

We have done a wide range of Audio projects including Voice Commentary for Radio & TV, Sound to Picture, ADR Film Dubbing, Podcasts, Music for Film and TV and Audio Book Recording, Production and Direction.

What are your studio rates?

We charge £60 for a single hour (and up to three hours), a four hour booking is £200, an 8 hour booking is £375 and for block bookings it costs £40per hour thereafter

Do you provide an Engineer/Producer/Editor?

Yes our studio rate includes an experienced engineer and producer for all our clients.

Where are you located?

Our boutique studio is located in Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile, just a few minutes from Waverley Railway Station.

How many people can you record at once?

We can record up to 8 people at once.

Do you have a rest area?

Our control room can comfortably seat 8 people in our rest area

What does your recording setup consist of?

We use Logic Pro X 10.5 with a Mac Pro and Metric Halo Convertors, a Yamaha DM2000 Mixer, Focal, Genelec with Sub Woofer and Nuemann Monitors.

What microphones do you have?

Neumann U87, Neumann KM 84's, AKG Solid Tube, set of 4 x AKG 3000, Coles Stereo Ribbon Mic, Rode K2, Rode NTK & Sennheiser Mics

Do you have disabled access?

No we are up several flights of stairs, probably the highest studio in the World! :-)

Special Covid 19 VO Rates

During this Corona Virus Crisis and until further notice we are pleased to offer you a special studio reduction from £75 per studio hour to just £60 per hour (with a minimum booking of 2 hours).

Included with your booking is an experienced professional audio producer / engineer who will ensure the best result for your voice over work.

We are connected to Scottish actors and actors throughout the UK and can provide a range of Voice Over Artists for your project if required.

Offbeat Voiceover Award Winners

The Story Of Film, an Odyssey.

Stanley Kubrick Award for Best Documentary 2012

One of our favourite voiceover recording projects was for The Story Of Film by Mark Cousins, for More 4 and Film 4.

Fifteen one-hour episodes later the film was released and achieved critical acclaim, including The Stanley Kubrick Award for best film in 2012 and a nomination for Best Documentary feature at Palm Springs awards in 2012.

The film has since been shown in cinemas worldwide and has been translated into many languages. The Telegraph headlined the film’s initial broadcast as a television series in September 2011 as the “cinematic event of the year”, describing it as “visually ensnaring and intellectually lithe, it’s at once a love letter to cinema, an unmissable masterclass, and a radical rewriting of movie history.”

We also recorded three separate interviews with Mark Cousins for Turner Classic Films in the States.
