Recording several episodes of Earthrise with presenter Russell Beard resulted in a New York Film Festival Award for best Documentary in 2018 for the programme about the Ice Stupas of Ladakh. The series highlights global environmental issues. Russell goes all over the planet to present episodes. The programmes were all recorded to picture, sometimes with a producer dialling in on Skype to direct the session. Several takes are recorded from each segment from a script and the resulting files are then sent to the programme makers.
