Voice Over Services
In our Edinburgh audio recording studio, Offbeat provide quality, professional voiceover production and recording services for television, film and other companies. Using Rode, Shure and AKG microphones along with Neve EQ and Focusrite compressors, we achieve a warm natural uncoloured vocal sound for our customers. We can now do voice to picture projects also.
We have recently recorded three episodes of Neil Oliver’s Voice over for Coast Australia for Great Southern Film & TV. This will be aired on The History Channel later this year.
Another client, producer Alan Knight came onto the studio with Hollywood actor Brian Cox to record the voice of animated Scotty dog, Duggy The Dog for a pro Independence video. Hear the voice of our Brian on our recording on the video
Other voiceover recording projects we have had at the studio included The Story Of Film by Mark Cousins for More 4 and Film 4 . The film has since been shown in Cinemas Worldwide and has been translated into many languages. The Telegraph headlined the film’s initial broadcast as a television series in September 2011 as the “cinematic event of the year”, describing it as “visually ensnaring and intellectually lithe, it’s at once a love letter to cinema, an unmissable masterclass, and a radical rewriting of movie history.”
The innovative company CereProc have developed the world’s most advanced text to speech technology. Their voices not only sound real, they have character, making them suitable for any application that requires speech output. Gavin Hastings also came in to record for a voice over for HSBC bank.
Scottish Life and Aegon also record audio here for their in-house multi-media training programmes. We also recorded audio commentaries for the The Heritage Detectives set of programmes for Maggie Aitken of Daisy Chain Associates, which were performed at The Scottish Parliament and Heritage Scotland. These featured Ronnie Brown from The Corries and several children who were involved in the events.
If you need to record an audio commentary or voiceover, get in touch to find out how we can help.
