FAQ 3 - My demo is very rough..is that a problem?
Rough demos are a great way to hear a piece of music or a song prior to production.
It's helpful to hear the essence of an idea before it's been worked on and fully developed so if you have just a rough recording of your idea don't hesistate to play it to us prior to a session. It won't be judged on recording quality!
If an idea works at demo level it can often develop into a great recording if produced properly. Sometimes the ideas roughly sketched out off the cuff remain the essential parts of a finished recording.
Will you try to change my music?
Not if you don't want that. After meeting with you prior to the recording session and finding out from you what you want to achieve, Offbeat can help you to realise that vision.
If you're not sure what you want and just like to experiment, Offbeat will offer ideas and solutions which are sensitive to the project if the music requires it. Sometimes ideas have to be tried out before knowing if they will work.
Some songwriters/composers may require full creative input. As makers of original music and as creative writers the producer(s) will collaborate with you, not compete and take on the challenge of making your tracks sound as original as possible.
