After just 4 weeks after release on Universal Records this album made the Xmas no1 in the UK Classical charts and stayed there for 10 weeks, it also reached no11 in the UK Album charts.

Jon Cohen is one of the UK's leading producers of Classical "Crossover" music. Jon was working with Offbeats Iain McKinna as head engineer at Edinburgh's Heartbeat Studios with engineer Ed Logan on a new crossover classical album for UNIVERSAL RECORDS, the Worlds biggest record label. The album, entitled Spirit Of The Glen by The Scots Dragoon Guards, was the result of a million pound deal for the band and was for released on 26th November 2007. The band have previously worked with Mark Knopfler and Mike Oldfield and had a no1 in 1972 with Amazing Grace earning them 13 gold discs.
