Mandancin
was directed by Norman Stone and was loosely
based on the song by Tam White of the same
name. Tam, who also starred in Braveheart
and Cut Throat Island with Gina Davis, was
also the voice behind Robbie Coltrane in the
Bafta Award winning Tutti Frutti. He has been
in the music business since the 60's, working
with producers Mickie Most and Joe Meek. His
legendary Blues voice is featured on 3 songs
in this, movie, all produced by Iain and Paul
McKinna. An album entitled Hold On was released
to coincide with the films release in 2004.
